Progress on the Swordswallowers Site

by Charon

The site is really starting to come together. We have a glossary of terms, our bios are posted and descriptions of the majority of our show offerings are up. We have the start of a photo gallery and I’m still looking at all the plugins available for such things. There are a number of good ones out there and I want to find the one that’s right for us.

We’ll be back on the road for nearly two straight months of shows this fall and I am looking forward to it. Autumn in the Airstream is the very best.

Virginia Renaissance Faire was a lovely, if scorching, experience. My only complaint about this event is the heat, which can’t be helped without a serious date change. All else is fantastic. They have excellent food offerings, the entertainers all skilled and passionate and the pub entertainment is some of the best I’ve seen anywhere. If the opportunity comes to pass to work this event in 2008 I’ll be glad of it. Right now we have some pending dates that overlap and they have right of first refusal.

I’ve come quite a ways from the 7 year old girl who attended her first Renaissance Festival in MD (in Columbia!) so many years ago. It’s an interesting world for me these days. Performing has opened it up more widely that I imagined and I absolutely love all of it. I have Alex and the Airstream to thank for that. Here’s to many more months of shows out on the road!
