Out the door to a gig downtown, but had to share this with those who may not have seen it.
February 28th has been named International Sword Swallower’s Awareness Day and Alex and I were fortunate to have been given a bit of soapbox time in the Washington City Paper.

bloody hell.
that is an insane story.
great risk is supposed to bring great reward, right?
crazy.
Great article.
For the record, I respect the hell out of you guys. I hope I get a chance to see you perform sometime. Maybe next Gathering, or maybe someday at the Palace when I’m visiting a friend in the D.C. area.
Also for the record, I am ultra-psyched for the next Gathering! Last time just walking around I saw Natasha Veruschka, and Sal the Cinch, and James Taylor, and Aye Jaye, and the Swami Yomahmi, and had no idea who the hell they were! (Especially not Aye Jaye! Though you look at him and think, “That guy looks like a cross between a clown and a huckster” – the truth of hiis past identity must be obvious on a subliminal level!) Now I do, and you and Alexander as well. Next gathering, I’m going to feel like I’m among old friends! I hope you can make it.
